Cross border links build training capacity in Wales
Cycle Training West Midlands has developed strong links with Cycle Training Wales, a not-for-profit social enterprise working throughout the principality.
The partnership has led to the training of over 60 new instructors - more than any other instructor training provider - on courses in Cardiff, Carmarthen, and Wrexham. The joint programme is doing much to assist the Welsh Assembly Government to achieve its objective of wider capacity for National Standard cycling instruction.
CTW instructors Andrew Burns and Nick Canham have delivered Cycle Training West Midlands' training to great approval from course participants. 'We have received positive feedback across the board,' said Training Manager, Nick Canham, 'proving that the partnership has led to excellent quality training for new instructors.'
The next courses will run in Cardiff on the following dates:
• 25-28 August 2009
• 26-29 October 2009
